the airforce reserves...?
i'm thinking i'm going to join the airforce reserves and become a nurse & go to college with the GI bill. some people say in the AF reserves you won't get deployed if you're a full time student... is that true? I don't mind getting deployed to germany or something for nursing but afghanistan on the other hand i worry about. and after basic and ait i here you go to tech school before college or something?? what's tech school about

The point of joining the military is to serve ur country if that means going to afgahanistan then that's where u go. The money for school is great but should not be ur only reason for enlisting. It's a big commitment. The chances of getting deployed in the reserves is low but there is always a chance and no u have no say in here you go. You go where the air force needs you that's what you signed up for. After boot you go to tech school to learn your job. School can be anything from a couple months to two years. You have to complete your training before coming back home to do drill and your local base. If this is something you want you should really talk to a recruiter

1. The military does not train you to be a nurse.l 2. The reserves do Not have the GI Bill. You enlist in the reserves, then you go to basic and tech school ( where you learn your job ) If you want to go to college, then you can go, if you can afford it. The reserves will offer about $7,500 per year in educational aid, you must pay the rest. 3. yes, you can be deployed i the reserves, even if your a college student.

How to make a complaint for Mobbing in Germany?
Hello everyone, I am a medical doctor working in Germany. I am on my way to my new working place, but i got a lot of bullies on the last one and as my boss has a long history of mobbing / few people have left already the department - 2 doctors and 3 nurses / - i want to make a complaint. She absolutely deserves it. I would really appreciate if anyone could give me any advice how exactly to do it. I have no doubts that i want to make the complaint, the thing is that i dont know how to do it. And more important - how to do it in such a way that to get a result at the end. Cos this woman has done it to many people and continues to bully some of my very dear colleagues, but as they have not found another job yet, they are quite scared about complaining. Every practical advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance

You're probably a foreigner who is obviously highly educated. Why don't you help your own people and culture? You may find that the next place you work will have similar type personalities. You may be the one who is actually the bully because of your insensitivity and your worldly false perception of intelligence.

could it be cos i am not native english speaker??! i didnt ask u why they have done this to me. i asked HOW CAN I MAKE THE COMPLAINT right. if you have nithing to say on a question, please, do not waste ur and my time to answer! thanks!! to the last answer - sorry, but i am white blue-eyed christian, not a muslim. and used to live in London before moving to Germany. the only cultural difference is that i have never in my life met so rude people as the germans. and no - the problem is not in me. i thought it at the beginning, but she is doing it with everyone. few people have already left. and everyone in the hospital knows it. she sleeps with the director-to-be in 1 yr which is the reason they let her do that. if one of my friends is still staying it is cos he has a family and children and his wife works in a school near hear too. which makes it more complicated. did i say i am in East Germany? so, thanks a lot to the ones who care, and please, please, the idiots - i am not asking u for a "psychological analysis" of a situation and people who u dont know. all i asked for was - HOW TO MAKE THE COMPLAINT RIGHT. thanks a lot

Harassment and bullies at the working place in Germany. Please, help!?
I am a medical doctor and started recently working in a hospital in Germany. As this is the first time i am in this country, i had some difficult moments with the language at the beginning. The problem is that instead of trying to be supporting, my boss and the nurses are making jokes of that. Which frustrates me really much and is the reason i could not improve my proficiency of the german language at all for the last 2 months. And when my boss humiliated me before about 10 nurses. She said smth i could not at first understand and then she just repeated the same thing 3 times with exactly the same words, looking at me as if i was an idiot to not understand, which made the nurses laughing and joking about that. I was so embarrassedd, i could not say a proper sentence and just left the meeting. Plus, cos i have only 1 yr working experience, the nurses treat me as if i am some kind of mentally retarded and ignore me almost all the time. Instead of being tought i am all the time pushed to do stuff i am not ready for. And after that - looked at as if i am a complete idiot and of course "oh, you know, in our universities in Germany we do this and those so good, obviously in your country you haven't been taught that well..." Please, could anyone give me advice what to do and how to fight this harassment and humiliation. I am so frustrated that my german even gets worse and worse. I can't do my job well, cos there is always someone to look at me in a disrespectful manner. I can't take it anymore and have started looking for another job. But it takes time to find new placements and to go on interviews and so on. And on the other hand, this is a well paid job in a town i quite like - why should i lose this job just cos they think they can abuse me. Any legal advice would be really highly appreciated! This is a tough one. Your obvious hurt seems to further encourage your colleagues to make jokes at your expense. I cannot give you any legal advice but there should be recourse to bullying (mobbing) which the hospital's leadership is required to address if brought to their attention. My personal experience shows that mobbing is seldom a curable disease and will continue long after the original rationale is forgotten. You could try appealing to their better nature by explaining how their behaviour affects you. Try the following first: Gut, ihr habt euren Spass, was ihr möglichgerweise nicht wisst ist wie sehr Eure Kommentare mich verletzen. Ich will ein guter Kollege sein aber dies kann ich nur wenn ihr mich auch lasst. Wenn die Situation umgekehrt wäre und ihr in meinem Land versuchen würdet Fuss zufassen würde ich euch jegliche Hilfestellung geben damit ihr erfolgreich sein könntet. Bitte gebt mir die gleiche Chance. Then add that you have take the step to go to night school or the Goethe Institute to better your german and that you would be grateful for any day to day assistance they might give in correcting your german. Finally find it in yourself to laugh along if you really goof up. Some things actually CAN be funny.
