CGFNS CES question, need help

CGFNS CES question, need help?
Hi everybody, I am a registered nurse in Germany and Australia. My initial nursing education was in Germany from 2000-2003. I moved to the US and am trying to get registered here. I have to apply for the Credential Evaluation Service with CGFNS. Has anybody ever done it before, do they just say your skills match the skills of an RN or LVN? Anyone from Germany that has done it and the outcome of it? Thanks!!!

Health care professional in U.K. or Germany

Health care professional in U.K. or Germany?
In your opinion, which country is better to work in as a health care professional (i.e. nurse, physician)? Does one country offer better pay and benefits, or have better job growth and stability? Thanks in advance!

First of all it depends on your nationality and native language. If you want to work in Germany and you are no EU citizen you will need a work visa and also you will need to speak German fluently this is one of the requirements to be able to apply for the visa. In Germany you will also have to get your foreign degree recognized before you can search a job be aware that may take some time. In the UK you will at least not have a language barrier if you are an English native speaker. You will however need a work visa unless you are an EU citizen again. Nurses are searched for in both countries but the salary is really hard to get you a decent living in both places. From stability and growth Germany will be slightly better off than the UK just look at the recent crisis which hit UK a lot harder than Germany but no big difference both countries are members of the EU .

Providing you fulfil all the necessary requirements and have no language barrier work in Germany. There is a better standard of life in Germany and that is coming from a Brit.

what is the name or other relevant info of a newly invented medical device, kind of "visual intravenous drip/therapy system" that is a pen like thing, when hold in patient's hand then the veins can be clearly seen on a monitor for the convenience of intravenous drip/therapy for nurses? A dealer is urgently looking for it. Any clue is appreciated. It is possibly made in Germany.

Is anyone familiar with the German documentary about nurses who care for "brain-dead" patients

Is anyone familiar with the German documentary about nurses who care for "brain-dead" patients?
In the 1980's there was a documentary produced in Germany titled something like, "Ich sorge für tote Patienten." Has anyone heard of this and know who produced it?
