U.S. Nursing schools in Germany

U.S. Nursing schools in Germany??
My husband is in the army and we would love to go to Germany when he gets back from Afghanastan, the only problem is, I need to get into a four year university for nursing. I will be recieving my associates in pre-nursing really soon here, and want to continue on with my bachelors in nursing. I will not have a nursing degree as I have done no clinicals, it is not a nursing degree I will be recieveing only a pre nursing degree. I am wondering if there are any Four year colleges that are in Germany on an Army post that do nursing degrees?? How would I find out more information about this? I want to get a degree and be able to take the NCLEX and still work in the U.S. when we come back?? Thank you for any help or advice I mean it CAN NOT be an online course, I DO NOT have my RN's Licesne at all. Just pre nursing

There are no US schools for nursing in Germany. Do you speak German? You might be able to find a way to enroll in a German University as a foreign student. But then you would have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get your RN in the states. I would suggest you postpone your move to Germany. Finish your education here and get your RN in the states. Then you might be able to work in Germany. But get licensed here.

Anybody here from Germany...I got a question.(or if you know about german immigration)?
I looked @ the things you have to do to become a german citizen. i just have one question...it says you have to give up your previous citizenship. but it also said there are ways around that. what do you have to do and if there are ways around it i would really like to know... just wondering cuz although i plan to live in germany and be a nurse, i would not be quite ready to give up my american citizenship. help me if ya can. thanks.

It probably has to do with the concept of "dual citizenship." That is, depending on which country you are immigrating from, you may or may not have to give up your original citizenship. I know that the U.S. does not recognize dual citizenship, nor does Germany with the U.S., I believe. So, if you are American, you would have to renounce your American citizenship in order to claim German citizenship.

You don't have to give up your present citizenship to live and work in Germany. BUT, it DOES depend on where you are from. And it's not that easy to get a german passport, if you are from the "wrong" country (so to speak, in regards to political relationship to your country). My suggestion: why don't you try to get a job here, and live the life for a while to see if you like it here first? This is a challenge in itself, as you need a residence permit AND a work permit (here you should get into contact with the Auslaenderamt in the area in which you want to live). The german "mentality" is a little different than yours (no matter where you are from). The unemployment is high here, and the hospitals are NOT looking for nurses to work here, like in the States. And the jobs are not as well paid as in the US. It's like a used car: Take a test drive before you buy.

Just go for an Aufenthaltserlaubnis and run it from there. You renew it after the first, third, and 5th year. After the fifth year of continual residence the residence permit becomes permanent if you wish to stay ... which negates the problem of needing a German passport, plus you can always keep the US citizenship and return if you get tired of it. This is what I did ... worked fine, and I came back. All my German friends asked "why dont you get german citizenship" and I responded "because I don't have to, and why should I give up my right to live in the USA at a moment's notice?" Viel Glück!

Nursing aide/tech: What do they ask on the test

Nursing aide/tech: What do they ask on the test?
I'm a nurse from Germany, and i'm able to work as a nurse aide here in the states, so I applied for a job here as a nurse aide and invited me for a 50 question test. I think that i shouldn't have problems answering them, but still, does anyone one what they ask, or has onyone been through it and give me some hints or websites? Thank you in advance!

as a nurse's aid, you just need to know the basics... the MOST complicated thing would be an EKG... the rest is all about patient care... shouldnt be too hard with your background... goodluck
2 :
It won't be anything surprising or that intense. They want you to be able to provide ADL's for the patient in a safe manner. They will ask you to questions to make sure you understand if something is serious enough to call the nurse. Dont stress over this you will be fine. I hope you are able to get your nursing license eventually!

A cicillian nurse is one who is not joined to the military, so just a normal regular nurse.

a civilian nurse is a nurse that's not in the military. it's a friggin nurse.
3 :
A civilian nurse is a nurse who's a civilian, not military. Payment is based on experience, level of education, and place of employment. Contract, from my understanding, is mostly for travel nurses.
4 :
I think you are meaning civil service nursing?
5 :
an RN who isn't in the military.

All Nurses are the same. Same schooling, same degree. A civilian Nurse is not in the military, a military Nurse is. Either one can work where ever there is a need for a nurse. Say that three times.
